Candle Making Wax
Most candles that have a diameter larger than approximately an inch and half, burn out in the center, and leave all this unused candle wax behind. What the heck are you supposed to do with what is left over? It seems like a shame to waste it by throwing it away, especially if its one of those big fancy scented kind, like a Yankee Candle in a jar. I don’t get why they make them so darn big to begin with, when they can’t burn and drain effeciently. Aside from getting some kind of candle making kit, where you could melt down and recycle leftover wax, I have no clue what to do with the stuff.

I do two things :
I save some for waxing sticky zippers on jeans and jackets or any zipper in general. It aides in the the sliding.
Second I melt it down and make more candles.
use it as skate wax
you can remelt it into a new candle and a custom wic
You can microwave the candle until the wax is liquid, then pour in a new "starter candle" with a new wick.
you can melt the wax in a microwavable bowl and pour it into an old milk carton to make a new candle with a new wick. you don’t need a candle making kit! or do the dip and drip method with a piece of string weighed down with something at one end
melt the was and dip the string in, let the wax harden, and repeat. when the string can stay stiff, cut off the bottom weight and continue until you have a taper candle
hope it helps!
eat it!
First thing you should know is melting wax too many times will break down it’s properties and it won’t be wax anymore.
Instead of making candles, I’ve done before but always had problems with the wick…melt the wax down but make them into what Yankee Candle calls Tarts. They have no wick but are melted in a wax burner. That’s the dish with two parts, sometimes are detachable but otherwise there is the lower section where you place the tea light and the upper caved in-like section where you place the tart. The tea light melts this and the aroma will fill the area or room just like a regular candle. Use a muffin tin and fill them only halfway with the wax.
Other things the wax can be used for…I rememer when I was working in retail, the rolling racks would get worn in so we’d take wax paper and rub the bar down and it helped the hangers slide across better, so you can try this in your closets at home, also zippers as someone mentioned above.
