Soap Queen TV – Massage Candles.mp4
Massage candles are a wonderfully luxurious treat to make for yourself or that special someone. A massage candle is a blend of skin safe waxes, oils and essential oils that melt at a low temperature, perfect for a warm and soothing massage. Makes a great Valentine’s gift! Please note: there’s a typo on the ingredient list – it should read 1 ounce of Cocoa Butter. If you use 4 ounces, your massage candle will be a little softer, but will still work wonderfully. Ive been waiting for this video–another great tutorial Anne-Marie!
I like how you show what a proper pour looks to a improper pour. Great video.
yay! another video! i love how you go into detail about the soap/candle procedures. keep ‘em coming!
Great tutorial and will make sucha wonderful gift.
One question though. I am allergic to avocados is there another oil I can use instead?
Thanks so much!
awesome ~ thanks!
Yes, any oil that’s liquid at room temperature will work. So, Sweet Almond or Sunflower oil would be good, too!
Thanks everyone. It’s so great to hear that you like the video.
Happy Soaping!
Anne-Marie
Awesome! Thank You for answering my question.
Love all of your videos – so glad you’re back! I do have a question about this video. The ingredient list states 4 oz. of cocoa butter, but you use 1 oz during your tutorial. Which is correct? Thanks!
So great! Your videos are so informative, and you are adorable!!! I am hooked on soap making, and now I am thinking about beginning to make candles. I just bought a ton of items from Bramble Berry, and I am so excited to get them. I do have a request. Could you make a video about how to make candle tarts, along with ideas for packaging? I would like to make some candles without wicks to use in my candle warmer. Thanks!!!
can i use almond oil and which scents are soap scents ok to use?
I’m having a difficult time viewing your video. It seems to stop at the recipe stage. I have already watched it but i wanted to write the instructions down so i could try it at home. Please let me know when this video is up and running again.
Thanks
@BuffAngela158 Hi, I just played it again and it seems to be working fine for me. Maybe there was just a lot of traffic when you were trying to watch it?
@katchance Yes, Almond oil would be a great substitute for the Avocado oil. Any fragrance that is skin safe can be used. Let me know how it turns out for you!
@angel629c That’s a great idea! Candle tarts are fun & easy. Thank you for the suggestion!
Anne-Marie
@PrimLucy Hi, There is a typo on the video’s ingredient list – but I tested it and it still works just fine. I prefer the recipe using one ounce of Cocoa Butter. I also noted the typo in the description of the video on the right.
Sorry for the confusion!
Anne-Marie
You must be right …it’s working fine for me now. tks
Wonderfull!!!!
hi soap queen,
Can you only use essential oil when making these massage candles?
@redbone26twin Not at all. You can use any skin-safe fragrance oil you like!
is it very smart to put the ingredients into the microwave, I thought the heat it kills all the natural ingredients effect..?
@zentrumgesundheit The only way to melt down your ingredients so that they can be mixed together is to heat them up in some way. You could also use a double boiler if you prefer not to use a microwave.
Please also notice that I don’t add the essential oils until after everything is melted and liquid.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
